Lake Carrie is a lake in Highlands County. There is an incredible diversity of lakes in the area that range from large deep, clear lakes such as June and Placid to shallower, highly productive lakes such as Apthorpe, Carrie and Crews that support excellent fish populations. Lake Istokpoga, world renowned for its fishing, also supports resident populations of osprey and bald eagles, as well as many other forms of wildlife.

With so many beautiful freshwater lakes nearby, its no wonder many recreational pursuits around Lake Placid are water related. Fishing, boating, swimming and watersports are popular activities with visitors and residents. Our blue skies, stately cypress, and beautiful lake views also invite picnicking, hiking and other relaxed diversions.
